    Kim Jacobs Calendar5
This is the second time I have bought a Kim Jacobs calendar. I love the soft pastel colors, the use of lace, animal, plants, cottages, all the scenes of home. It reminds me of my childhood in Vermont and my grandmothers house. I always smile when I look at it

A Fan since the early 90s - Some years better than others4
A long time fan of this artists work, I must say that some years are better than others. I'm always very excited to see the paintings each year the calendar comes out, but the best years seem to be when her use of colors is very vivid. I particularly like her garden scenes. This year has a few lighter-toned pictures, which dropped it down a star in my opinion, but they are all still beautiful. The worlds she creates are simply amazing in their detail - I recommend this artist 100%! I started getting her calendar when I was around age 15 (1994?), and over the years have found many paintings so beautiful that I would either cut the page out and frame it, or attempt my own version (using it as a guide in my art classes - always got me an A!). She is described as a "country" artist, but I imagine most of her paintings to be placed in an earlier decade, like the 1920's, as well as "cottage" paintings. I've seen her do anything from seascapes, night gardens, and treehouses, to yardsales and toy rooms. One Christmas showed Santa coming down the chimney. I've even seen her do a windmill that looked very much like she had dropped you in Holland. Definately worth a look, especially if you are drawn to gardens, fantasy art or paintings in general, or are a big fan of nostalgic/ period work.

    Extremely Talented5
Kim Jacobs is an extremely talented watercolorist. I love her old-world style - it reminds of some of the books of my childhood. There is always something new to discover every time you look at one of her pictures. I make sure that I get her calendar every year.
